An exposition for science, technology and society interface
at Gujarat Science City
from 18th to 24th January 2008.

It is our pleasure to infirm you that the Gujarat Council of Science City (GCSC), working under the aegis of Department of Science and Technology, Govt of Gujarat, is organizing a week-long science festival during 18th to 24th January 2008 at Gujarat Science City, Ahmedabad. The programme has titled as Science Expo 2008; an exposition for science, technology and society interface that aims at high school and college level student and the public with an endeavour to promote and spread scientific awareness. 

The Science Expo includes exhibition by the premier scientific institutions and organization highlighting the current research and development work in respective field and how it can impact and influence the society. A large number of school and college students to visit the exhibition and to take active part in various student activities, competitions, film shows, experiment and demonstrations, sky observation and popular science lectures, etc during the above programme. Dr. J. N. Goswami, Eminent Scientist and Director, Physical Research Laboratory, Ahmedabad will inaugurate the Science Expo tomorrow, 18th January 2008 at 3:00 pm in Science City. Shri Raj Kumar, Secretary, Department of Science & Technology, Govt of Gujarat will preside over the programme and Shri C. N. Pandey, Director, GEER Foundation will deliver the key-note address. 

We invite you and your colleagues to attend the Science Expo at Science City. We would also like to request you to depute your correspondent to this programme and give a wider coverage for the benefits of the dissemination of scientific knowledge among the society.
