The broad objective of these programs is to create and sustain a culture of learning that fosters the process of personal inquisitive, experimentation, communication, documentation, understanding, and the sharing of values about our science and society. The Science City also designed a unique Scientific Event Calendar for this purpose.

The programme provides an opportunity for students to become immerse in the adventure of science learning by spending an extended period at Science City. The creative, enthusiastic and entrepreneurial approach of each of the activitities makes it effective and relevant, meeting the secondary and higher secondary school curriculum.

The programmes focused to shape and sensitize young minds and meaningfully connect our communities to the world around us, reaching students, teachers and families with the fascination and promise of careers in the sciences.

Gujarat Science City has also developed complete training module for using puppetry for S&T communication, Popular Science writing, illustration and journalism in regional language, Nature Camp, Learning Mathematics through Origami, Hydroponics - Fun with plant with soil less condition, etc. A puppetry corner has been functioning for dissemination of scientific messages in very interesting and interactive manner. Regular demonstrations on Fun Chemistry, math and science, sky observation, science model making activity is going on for students and teachers.

A series of popular science lectures titled as ‘SCIENCE MATTERS’ has been organized since May 2006 in every month. The series invites very eminent scientist, technocrats, and academicians to interact on the cutting edge of science and technology among young students, researchers, faculties and media persons.

Academic programme like Science Olympiads have been designed for meritorious students to achieve the excellence at national and international level. Lots of training programmes and interactive workshops have been organized for different target groups with different themes and concepts.

The Children Activity Centre in the Science City is the nucleus of such activities. Everyday, thousands of school children both from near and far ways visiting Science City and actively participating in the out door learning experience in an enabling environment.

All the programmes have well appreciated by the students, parents, teachers and the common public. It also received good media responses both from print and electronic media.
