
Gujarat Science City is organizing the State Level Children Science Congress during 23
rd and 24
th November 2006 on the theme 'Nurture Nature for our Future. This is a part of the National Children Science Congress, catalyzed and supported by NCSTC, Department of Science & Technology, Government of India and implemented by NCSTC-Network.
The primary objectives of the Children Science Congress is that children of the age group of 10-17 years, both from formal school system as well as from out of school, can exhibit their creativity and innovativeness and more particularly their ability to solve a societal problem experienced locally scale using the method of science.
About 200 students and 200 teachers from different districts of Gujarat will attend the two days congress. Out of this, only 26 projects and 26 child scientists will be selected for the participation in the 14
th National Children Science Congress, to be held at Gangtok, Sikkim during 27
th to 31
st December 2006.
In Gujarat, the programme is being coordinated by Satya Sodhak Sabha in association with Gujarat Science City, Gujarat Council on Science & Technology, Manthan Educational Society, Ahmedabad.
