It is our pleasure to invite you to the inauguration of "Lights and Shades of Science", an exhibition of award winning photographs of National Science Photography Contest on 6th September 2011, 5.30 pm at Ravishankar Raval Art Gallery, near Law Garden, Ahmedabad.

| The exhibition is being inaugurated by Shri R. S. Saxena, Additional Chief Secretary, Dept of Science & Technology, Government of Gujarat. |

| Legendary photographer, Shri Pranlal Patel will preside over the function and Shri Girish Khatri, well known photographer and artist, will be the Guest of Honor. |

| This unique exhibition has been organized by Shri. R. R. Mehta Educational Trust in collaboration with National Council for Science and Technology Communication (NCSTC), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. |

| 'Lights and Shades of Science' is India's only national science photographic contest which invites the large fraternity of photographers of this country, both professionals and amateurs, to capture images which can stimulate the wonder and thrill of science and technology. |

| The basic premise is to create a synergy between an art form like photography and science. |
|
| |
| The exhibition is the culmination of this photographic contest and brings to you breathtaking works of photographers from around the country and lets you have a peep into the world of science present in these images. |

| The exhibition will be open for public viewing from 7th to 12th September 2011 between 12.00 noon to 7.00 pm |
